IMFH | Research

The CHLA-USC Institute for Maternal-Fetal Health’s (IMFH) unique alliance of medical leaders from Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine provide a collaborative opportunity to participate in fetal research together. Many members of our fetal therapy team and maternal-fetal health team actively participate in research via their affiliations with CHLA, USC or other professional research institutes.

CHLA boasts several research centers and institutes, including the Saban Research Institute, which is one of the nation’s largest and most productive pediatric research facilities in the U.S., with nearly 100 investigators engaged in more than 200 lab studies. The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is home to a vibrant scientific community, where more than $145 million in research funding supports an extraordinary array of clinical and basic biomedical research. With an aim of building the Keck’s reputation as a premier research institution, school leaders have made research their highest priority and are actively expanding the school’s research funding and infrastructure.
